The Open Door...

Much time has passed by since I've had news to report or updates to make. And while I feel guilty about the passage of time, the reality is that I've been busily preparing the way for this trip to Korea. And, I now have many things to report back to everyone.

Back in February, the opportunity to travel and serve in this English language camp presented itself. My heart was in it 100%, but my personal finances were not. After losing my business, nearly losing our house, and spending the past year struggling financially, the whole thing felt like an utter impossibility. But, the call to action was real. And where there is a call, we have a choice to answer.

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." - Rev. 3:20

Once I accepted that call to action, the pieces began to fall into place. This of course doesn't mean that my faith is perfect or that I securely believed that everything was going to work out. However, it meant that come what may I accepted and held a commitment to the call.

And through acceptance comes opportunity. Unexpected opportunities have presented themselves over the course of the past several months, ranging from a new job that has brought us up out of dire financial circumstances, to people feeling that call and choosing to partner with us financially.

And through the observance of opportunity, doors have been opened and our paths made straight.

As of today, we are 16 days away from heading to Korea. Our tickets are 100% paid for. Our YWAM camp registrations have been completed and paid for. Our hotel reservations have been made, and we are now in countdown preparation.

The road has been made clear, and the big journey is about to begin. I continue to ask you to partner with us in prayer as we forge forward, answering that call that I felt deep in my heart back in February.
